Friday Night Lights

Friday Night Off-site at the University of Phoenix Stadium

Let’s get ready to rumble at the University of Phoenix Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals and Superbowl XLII! This stadium, unlike any other in North America is a marvel of design, engineering and technology.

The University of Phoenix Stadium is also home of the 2008 New York Giants Superbowl victory! On February 3, 2008 the undefeated New England Patriots faced off with the wild card New York Giants. This highly anticipated event became a date in history! The New York Giants defeated the Patriots creating one of the biggest upsets in Super Bowl History.

The 63,400-seat stadium (expandable to 72,200) opened on August 1, 2006 after three years of construction. The ceremonial groundbreaking was held on April 12, 2003. The building features alternating sections of shimmering metal panels intended to reflect the shifting desert light alongside magnificent vertical glass slots allowing patrons a spectacular view of the horizon from any level of the exterior. There are 21 vertical slots on the exterior wall of the stadium. The exterior skin was designed to represent a barrel cactus.

The main floor is the most unique in the nation- the grass field is retractable and easily moves outside to transform the space into an ideal event area. Dinner and drinks will be served right next to the field! Enjoy entertainment and activities throughout the evening, to include photo ops with the Cardinals cheerleaders, locker room tours and punt, pass and kick contests.
