OIC, MarketWise Investors Expand Options Education to Singapore with "Options for the Thinking Investor" Seminars

The Options Industry Council (OIC) announced today that it will be participating in a new live seminar series, "Options for The Thinking Investor" hosted by the Singapore-based MarketWise Investors (MarketWise).
OIC will be providing its seminar content and an instructor for the Nov. 15 - Nov. 17 seminar, "Options for The Thinking Investor" and "Advanced Options For The Thinking Investor" on Nov. 18 - Nov. 19. The following schedule of seminars will be held in Singapore:
- Nov. 15 - 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Options for the Thinking Investor Day 1.
- Nov. 16 - 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Options for the Thinking Investor Day 2.
- Nov. 17 - 7 p.m. - 11p.m. Options for the Thinking Investor Day 3.
- Nov. 18 - 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Advanced Options for the Thinking Investor Day 1.
- Nov. 19 - 8 a.m. - 11p.m. Advanced Options for the Thinking Investor Day 2.
Marty Kearney, OIC Instructor and Senior Staff Instructor, The Options Institute, Chicago Board Options Exchange, will teach both seminars. Kearney is the author of Understanding LEAPS®, published by McGraw-Hill, and released in September of 2002. He is a contributing author of Options: Essential Concepts and Strategies (3rd edition), edited by The Options Institute.

Options for The Thinking Investor - Investors will learn options trading techniques, and basic and intermediate strategies. The inner workings of LEAPs® will be discussed: what they are, how to use them and when to use them with different strategies. Other topics explored at the seminar include understanding the dynamics of options pricing and how to profit from them; leveraging volatility and time decay; managing positions; learning statistical advantages in options trading and predicting risk-to-reward rations and probabilities of profit.
Advanced Options For The Thinking Investor - For the sophisticated investor, this seminar teaches advanced options concepts including spread trading strategies and implied volatility. Both directional and non-directional approaches to options trading will be explored along with dynamic risk management techniques using delta neutral trading.
