OIC to Launch "An Investor's Guide to Trading Options"
Chicago—January 5, 2004
Interested in a new and different educational tool about options? Look no further than The Options Industry Council's (OIC) soon to be released options book, "An Investor's Guide to Trading Options."
Working with LightBulb Press, Inc., OIC created "An Investor's Guide to Trading Options" to fulfill educational needs expressed by investors and their financial advisors. The 64-page book uses everyday language that doesn't require a financial encyclopedia to understand. It is a basic options primer that belongs in every investor's library. The price of the book is $12.95 and can be purchased on the OIC Web site at www.888options.com.
"We're pleased to announce the pre-launch of this exciting, one of a kind book about equity options," said Paul Stevens, President, OIC. "As equity options volume continues to grow, there is still a segment of the investment population that misunderstands or fears the options product and therefore shies away from including options in their portfolios. OIC hopes this book reaches that segment as well as curious stock investors who want to learn how to use options to meet their financial goals."
Prior to launching the book to the general public in February 2004, OIC is providing brokerage firms, schools and other financial organizations the opportunity to co-brand and purchase bulk copies of the book at a discount. Organizations can use the books for customer appreciation programs and other promotional efforts, as well as for in-house education and training.
To learn more about branding and pre-launch sales opportunities, organizations should contact the Investor Services Call Center at 1-888-OPTIONS.
This book has been reviewed by compliance at The Options Clearing Corporation and the OIC participant exchanges.
OIC is a non-profit association funded by the American Stock Exchange, Chicago Board Options Exchange, International Securities Exchange, Pacific Exchange, Philadelphia Stock Exchange and The Options Clearing Corporation. OIC's free resources include: The Options Industry Services call center at 1-888-OPTIONS, an educational Web site at www.888options.com, evening seminars throughout the continental United States and Canada, educational literature and software.
