Amy Farnstrom
Amy Farnstrom is currently Vice President, Options Business / Technology Liaison, for NYSE Euronext, where since 2005 she has used her options trading experience and industry knowledge to help build both the new NYSE Arca and NYSE Amex Options trading systems, bringing new features and functionalities to market through strategic planning, market structure design and product development. Prior to the purchase of the Pacific Exchange by NYSE Arca, she was Director of Client Services for the Pacific Exchange, Inc.
Amy has over 19 years experience in the options industry. She traded options on the Pacific Exchange as a Market Maker for a total of eight years, including four years as a Lead Market Maker for Oppenheimer, Noonan, Weiss LLC and SLK Hull Derivatives. Prior to becoming a market maker, she worked for the Pacific Exchange as an Order Book Official. Amy is a published author and conducts monthly webinars for NYSE Euronext Options. She attended Hastings College in Hastings, NE, as a National Merit Scholar and graduated with a degree in English, Theater Arts, Philosophy and Art History.
In addition to her responsibilities at NYSE Arca, Amy recently joined the instructor staff of The Options Industry Council.
