OIC Unveils New Options Book "An Investor's Guide To Trading Options"
Chicago—February 18, 2004
Investors looking for a new educational tool about options can find a wealth of knowledge in The Options Industry Council's (OIC) newly released options book, "An Investor's Guide to Trading Options."
OIC, working in collaboration with Lightbulb Press, created this easy to read options primer to meet the educational needs of both investors and financial advisors. The 64-page book explains what options are and how they work, provides real-world investing scenarios and describes options strategies for various market conditions. The book can be purchased on OIC's Website for $12.95.
"We're very proud to launch this unique, straightforward options book," said Paul Stevens, President, OIC. "With equity options volume rising to new heights, we continue to endorse the importance of options education for all levels of investors during all market conditions. OIC believes this engaging book has broad appeal for the stock investor who hasn't added options to his investment portfolio and for the more seasoned investor who wants to explore different options strategies."
"Options can be a useful element of a diversified, balanced portfolio, but they can be intimidating," says Virginia B. Morris, editorial director of Lightbulb Press and co-author of the guide. "This guide helps investors be confident about adding options to their portfolios."
Brokerage firms, schools and other financial organizations may co-brand and purchase bulk copies of the book at a discount. To learn more about branding, organizations should contact the Investor Services Call Center at 1-888-OPTIONS.
This book has been reviewed by compliance at The Options Clearing Corporation and the OIC participant exchanges.
