OIC Announces November Volume Decreases 21 Percent
OIC announced today that 244,882,521 total options contracts were traded in November representing a 21.2 percent decrease compared to November 2007 volume. Average daily volume for the month was 12,888,554 contracts compared to 14,800,054 contracts for the same period last year and representing a 12.9 percent decline.

The WSE and the OIC Announce Initiative For Equity Options Education
The Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) and The Options Industry Council (OIC), a world leader in options education based in Chicago, announced today that they have entered into a licensing agreement and are working on the development of an educational program aimed at Polish investors.

OIC Announces October Trading Increases 29% Hitting New Monthly Volume Record
OIC announced today that 375,934,882 contracts changed hands in October, representing a 28.75 percent increase over October 2007 and 1.4 million contracts more than the previous monthly volume record set in September. Average daily volume for the month was 16,344,995 contracts, also up 28.75 from the same period last year.

OIC Announces September Trading Jumps 84% Setting New Monthly Volume Record
OIC announced today that total options trading volume in September came in at 374,531,673 contracts, an 84.1 percent increase over the year-ago level of 203,411,204 contracts. This marks a new monthly trading volume record 2.3 percent higher than the previous record set in July.

OIC Announces August Trading Volume Decreased 10% From August 2007
OIC announced today that total options trading volume in August was 263,405,886 contracts, a 10.5 percent decline from the record-setting volume of 294,211,443 contracts last August. Average daily volume for the month, however, was down 1.9 percent, from 12,791,802 last August to 12,543,137 this year.

OIC Announces A New Monthly Volume Record As July Trading Increased 38% Over The Same Period Last Year
OIC announced today that total options trading volume in July was 366,270,867 contracts, a 37.8 percent increase over the 265,867,612 contracts for the same period last year. This sets a new monthly trading volume record 2.5 percent higher than the previous record set in January of this year.

OIC Announces June Monthly Volume Jumps 36% Over The Same Period Last Year
OIC announced today that total options trading volume in June reached 304,003,964 contracts, a 35.85 percent increase over the year-ago level of 223,771,463 contracts. This marks the third time in history monthly total options volume has surpassed 300 million contracts.

OIC Announces January Trading Soars 81%, Setting New Monthly Volume Record

OIC announced today that total options trading volume in January came in at 357,163,288 contracts, an 80.77 percent increase over the year-ago level of 197,577,509 contracts. This sets a new monthly trading volume record 15 percent higher than the previous record set in November 2007.

OIC Announces Options Trading Volume Increases 41% Setting New Record In 2007
OIC announced today that new annual volume record was set in 2007 with a total of 2,862,826,218 contracts changing hands, surpassing 2006’s record by 41.18%. Equity options volume reached 2,592,102,961 contracts, exceeding the 1,844,181,918 total equity options volume contracts traded in 2006 by 40.56% percent.
