OIC Adds New Consultant To Support European Marketing And Education Efforts
Chicago—March 12, 2009
The Options Industry Council (OIC) announces the addition of Gary Delany as a consultant in the role of Director, European Marketing and Education.
This newly created position expands OIC’s efforts to promote the responsible use of listed equity options in the UK and Europe to retail and institutional investors. Mr. Delany will work with Otto Nägeli, OIC Managing Director for Europe, and be the key point of OIC’s outreach in the UK, developing options marketing and educational material for the European audience, including web content, market research and academic studies. Mr. Delany will also participate in seminar presentations, road shows and conferences.
Mr. Delany’s experience in the financial industry spans 30 years. Previously he served as Global Marketing Manager at Rolfe & Nolan, a supplier of futures and options software to banks and brokers, where he was in charge of global marketing initiatives. Before that Mr. Delany worked for The Philadelphia Stock Exchange in their European office in several capacities developing order flow for foreign exchange, equity and equity index options programs. He also acted as a consultant to LCH.Clearnet.
Worldwide demand for options education continues to grow as investors seek ways to manage risk and navigate uncertain markets. Europe and the UK are important sources of business for the US equity options industry. The addition of Mr. Delany helps OIC to broaden its options education efforts for both the retail and institutional investor throughout the region.
