OIC Kicks Off Its Summer Program with New Internet Radio Show
The Options Industry Council announced today a new educational program to kick off its summer session, OIC's Wide World of Options, an internet radio show hosted by Joe Burgoyne, OIC Director of Retail Education. This radio show is the latest addition to OIC's options education lineup and will be aired as a reoccurring series on the Options Insider Radio Network starting today, June 4, 2013.

The Options Industry Council (OIC) announced today that 386,428,255 total options contracts traded in May, which is up 2.35 percent compared to last year when 377,539,997 contracts were traded.

OIC Announces April Options Volume Rose 16 Percent
The Options Industry Council (OIC) announced today that 371,147,433 total options contracts were traded in April, which is up 16.11 percent compared to last year when 319,640,606 contracts were traded. This marks the best April volume on record.

OIC Congratulates The Quinnipiac Global Asset Management Education Forum on a Successful Third Year
The Options Industry Council (OIC) today congratulated everyone involved in this year’s Quinnipiac Global Asset Management Education (G.A.M.E.) Forum for producing a very successful program. Having just completed its third year, the G.A.M.E. Forum brought together more than 1,000 students from 118 colleges and universities representing 33 countries, 44 states, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia to explore the important issues facing investment professionals today.

OIC Announces Average Daily Options Volume in March Declined 9 Percent
The Options Industry Council (OIC) announced today that average daily options volume came in at 15,578,265 contracts, 8.91 percent down from the 17,102,093 contracts level of last March. Year-to-date average daily trading volume is down 3.2 percent compared to the first quarter of 2012.

The Options Industry Council (OIC) announced today that 320,943,312 total options contracts were traded in February, which represents an 8.16 percent decline compared to last year when 349,463,168 contracts were traded.

OIC Announces Meyer "Sandy" Frucher to Receive Joseph W. Sullivan Award at the Annual Options Industry Conference
The Options Industry Council (OIC) today announced Meyer "Sandy” Frucher as the 2013 recipient of the Joseph W. Sullivan Options Industry Achievement Award in recognition of outstanding contributions to the growth and integrity of the U.S. options market. The award will be presented at the 31st Annual Options Industry Conference, to be held April 24-26 at the Green Valley Ranch in Las Vegas, Nevada.

OIC Announces January Options Volume Rises 7.7 Percent on Strongest Volume Since May
The Options Industry Council (OIC) announced today that 361,071,621 total options contracts were traded in January. That is a 7.65 percent increase from January last year when 335,399,999 contracts were traded, and the highest monthly volume since May 2012.
