Joseph Cusick, Director, Institutional Education & Business Development
Joseph Cusick is the Director of Institutional Education and Business Development for The Options Industry Council (OIC), the leading provider of unbiased education to promote the responsible use of exchange-listed options. The OIC is managed by OCC, the world's largest equity derivatives clearing organization. In this role, Mr. Cusick is responsible for developing and executing OIC’s education and business development strategy for the U.S. institutional market.

Before joining OIC, Mr. Cusick was the Vice President of Wealth and Asset Management at MoneyBlock, an independent broker dealer, and TradingBlock, a registered investment advisory firm. He led the development of MoneyBlock's wealth-management platform and provided strategic leadership in marketing and business development initiatives. Prior to that, Mr. Cusick was the Senior Vice President of Education at optionsXpress, where he created and implemented education and media programs to help investors and financial advisors incorporate options as an equity portfolio management tool. Before Charles Schwab's acquisition of optionsXpress, he lent his market expertise to help launch the firm's brokersXpress subsidiary, developing several risk-sensitive equity allocation and tactical derivative programs. Mr. Cusick also has served as a frequent contributor to various media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Barron’s, CNBC, BNN and Bloomberg. He began his career as a floor trader in the index and equity trading pits at the Cboe.

Mr. Cusick received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and English from Marquette University. He formerly held the Series 7, 4, 63, and 66 licenses.
