New Year's Resolution For Investors Attend One Of The Options Industry Council's Winter Seminars

Investors making a New Year's resolution to learn more about equity options can turn to The Options Industry Council (OIC) for help. The OIC today announced its winter schedule of free options seminars, which are held nationwide and taught by expert instructors from the U.S. options exchanges.
Seminar topics include: Basic/Intermediate Options, Practical Application Workshop, LEAPs® and Options Strategies for the Stock Investor. All seminars take place from 6-9 p.m.
Options Strategies for the Stock Investor is a new course. It will be held in Newport Beach, Calif. on Feb. 6 and Salt Lake City, Utah on Feb. 13. Future dates and locations will be announced in March.
"In the past, attendees have indicated a desire to learn market strategies that can be used by stock investors and that's why we created Options Strategies for the Stock Investor, " said Paul Stevens, OIC President. "The new curriculum, which is being developed by OIC instructors, will teach stock investors about strategies that can help them leverage or protect their current portfolios."
Winter classes will be held in the following cities: Pasadena and Los Angeles, Calif.; Dallas and Houston, Texas; Orlando, Fla.; Atlanta, Ga.; Washington, D.C.; Newport Beach and San Diego, Calif.; Salt Lake City, Utah; Denver, Colo.; Cincinnati and Cleveland, Ohio.
The OIC is a non-profit organization founded in 1992 by the nation's options exchanges to provide investor education about equity options. Today, its members include The American Stock Exchange, Chicago Board Options Exchange, International Securities Exchange, Pacific Exchange, Philadelphia Stock Exchange and The Options Clearing Corporation.
