OIC Announces Spring Schedule for Broker Seminars "Options Strategies for Your Clients"

In its continuing efforts to educate investors and brokers about equity options, The Options Industry Council (OIC) announced today its spring schedule for its "Options Strategies for Your Clients" seminars. Since introducing this Series 7 licensed brokers-only seminar in 2001, OIC has educated nearly 500 brokers at this seminar. There is no cost to attend.
"With the current record-breaking volume in the options marketplace, now is a great time for brokers to expand their options knowledge," said Paul Stevens, President, OIC. "This seminar offers brokers the opportunity to discuss and learn options strategies for the current marketplace."
"Options Strategies for Your Clients" seminars will be held in the following cities and taught by one of OIC's professional exchange instructors:
- Newport Beach (February 9 from 2-5 p.m.)
- Denver (February 17 from 4-7 p.m.)
- Atlanta (April 30 from 5-8 p.m.)
- Houston (May 3 from 4-7 p.m.)
New this year is a one-hour cocktail reception following the seminar. This hour will provide an opportunity for brokers to speak one-on-one with the instructor. During the two-hour seminar, the following topics related to equity options will be covered:
- Demographics and trading practices of today's options investor
- A review of options fundamentals
- Practical options strategies for your clients
- Recommendations for options resources
- Considerations for brokerage firms
- Free educational software including OIC's Options Investigator
