The Options Industry Council Introduces New Podcasts And Webcasts

The Options Industry Council (OIC) announced today the launch of its latest series of podcasts and webcasts, both available on its web site, www.888options.com. Apple iTunes will also carry the podcasts under the title “Options Strategies for Investors.”
The new series of podcasts are dedicated to Covered Calls and Income Producing Strategies, and are conveniently available for download to iPod, Mp3, PDA, smartphone or PC. Topics offered currently are Review of Options Basics & Terminology; The Covered Call Strategy: A Conceptual Overview; Return Calculations; and Covered Writing. A total of nine podcasts will be introduced, with future topics including selling puts, common misconceptions and covered combinations. The podcasts follow OIC’s live seminar format and are hosted by OIC instructor Steve Meizinger of the International Securities Exchange.
New webcast topics also have been made available including Psychology of Trading, hosted by OIC instructor Amy Farnstrom of NYSE Arca, and Options Myths, hosted by OIC instructor Marty Kearney of the Chicago Board Options Exchange. Additionally, OIC has introduced a webcast using new technology and interactive elements. The webcast, Options Basics, is presented by Bill Ryan, a member of OIC’s Help Desk (1-888-OPTIONS). The Flash-based webcast is available in high resolution which teaches the fundamentals of options using vivid examples, diagrams, and interactive participation.
As with all OIC live seminars and on-demand webcasts, the latest podcasts and webcasts are free. The new offerings join a number of web-based resources available at www.888options.com, including online classes, pricing calculator, and position simulator.
