OIC, MarketWise Announce Upcoming Singapore Seminars "Options for the Thinking Investor"

The Options Industry Council (OIC) announced today that it will be participating in a second series of live seminars, "Options for the Thinking Investor," hosted by Singapore-based MarketWise Investors (MarketWise).
The program will be held on April 3 and April 4 from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. at The Ritz Carlton Millenia Singapore,7 Raffles Avenue Singapore in room Millenia 1. Preregistration is required at http://www.marketwiseinvestors.com. Investors interested in attending a sneak preview of the program may attend a free session on March 18 from 7-9 p.m., also at The Ritz Carlton Millenia Singapore.
The curriculum of the April 3-4 seminar includes the following topics:
- Learning options trading techniques, and basic and intermediate strategies
- LEAPs®: What they are, how to use them and when to use them with different strategies
- Understanding the dynamics of options pricing and how to profit from them
- Leveraging volatility and time decay
- Managing positions
- Discovering statistical advantages in options trading
- Predicting risk-to-reward ratios and probabilities of profit
Marty Kearney, OIC Instructor and Senior Staff Instructor, The Options Institute, Chicago Board Options Exchange, will teach the April seminars. Kearney is the author of Understanding LEAPS, published by McGraw-Hill, and released in September 2002. He is also a contributing author of Options: Essential Concepts and Strategies (3rd edition), edited by The Options Institute.
In November 2003, OIC and MarketWise held their first series of options seminars in Singapore. The five-day seminar series was attended by 60 participants. MarketWise received overwhelming positive feedback from the seminar attendees, including the following testimonials:
