Basic Seminar: Options Strategies for Stock Investors - This seminar introduces the fundamentals of options and explains how to use equity options as a way to participate in stock price movement. Using real data, investors learn how to choose an options strategy in light of market expectations and volatility forecasts.
Intermediate Seminar: Practical Strategy Applications - A follow-up to the basic seminar, which provides insight on managing an options portfolio. This workshop briefly reviews options basics, provides more in-depth instruction on pricing concepts, and explores volatility using educational software. More complicated strategies for the different markets will also be discussed.
Practical Uses of Covered Calls - OIC's first strategy specific seminar begins by reviewing options basics. This seminar will teach you what stocks to look for, how to calculate returns and how to manage positions. Attendees will also learn when to use the covered call strategy and how to create a disciplined approach to implementing it.
Trading Market Direction with Listed Options - This second strategy seminar introduces options strategies for sharp market moves with limited risk and teaches how to take advantage of options time decay in slow moving markets. The seminar also discusses how options prices change with underlying stock price and time to expiration changes, and how to plan options trades with realistic expectations.
OIC is a non-profit association funded by the American Stock Exchange, Chicago Board Options Exchange, International Securities Exchange, Pacific Exchange, Philadelphia Stock Exchange and The Options Clearing Corporation.
