WHAT IS WORLD INVESTOR WEEK?

World Investor Week (WIW) is a week-long, global campaign promoted by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) to raise awareness about the importance of investor education and financial protection.

Starting October 3, OCC® and The Options Industry Council (OIC)SM will join organizations across the globe in support of this important initiative. Check out the World Investor Week website for details on events and other ways to get involved.

OCC, the world’s largest equity derivatives clearing organization, is committed to providing education to investors about the prudent use of listed options. One way OCC supports this part of its mission is through the programs and services of OIC.

  • ODD Quick Guide (Interactive Guide)
    Through the programs and services of The Options Industry Council (OIC), OCC has created an ODD Quick Guide to support your understanding of the options disclosure document, Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options, also known as the ODD. This resource is designed to help you navigate the disclosure document, explore the topics covered and understand the options terminology used throughout. The ODD Quick Guide is not a substitute for the ODD and investors should read the ODD prior to buying or selling an option.
